Troubleshooting

Solutions to common issues when installing and using the toolchain.

rudra: command not found

The install directory is not on your PATH. The Linux installer places binaries in ~/.local/bin by default. Add it to your PATH and open a new terminal.

export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
rudra version

Type error: argument of 'len' expects str

len operates on strings. It does not take an array. This is a compile-time type error and is expected.

type error: there is no function named 'send'

Channel send and receive are named chan_send and chan_recv. Functions named send and recv do not exist.

type error: there is no function named 'json_parse'

Use json_get to read a value from a JSON object. There is no json_parse function.

http_get returns an empty result for a hostname

http_get does not resolve hostnames. Use a numeric IP address. HTTPS and TLS are not implemented.

Checksum does not match

Re-download the asset and verify again. Do not install an archive whose SHA256 does not match the value on the Downloads page.
